TABLESCAPES

Each year the ladies in our class are given the challenge of creating a tablescape from item the already have or can borrow from others. There is only one rule. You cannot spend any money on your tablescape.  Often in ministry we are called to decorate with little or no budget so our creativity is put to the challenge. Creating Tablescapes is one of the best times in our class. We get to learn more about each other, share experiences and see beautiful tables capes.

Hospitality Thru Equipping and Envangelism

As we begin our third week practicing hospitality we learn it must begin in our home and that light grows and reaches out into the world with
God's love for His creation.

Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved,
clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility,
gentleness and patience.    Colossians  3:12

We learned today how to plan ahead for meals, prepare food in advance and store in the freezer. We can save considerable time and money.

Chicken a la King

Chicken Broccoli Au Gratin

Apricot Chicken

Chicken Packets

Fellowship and food always seem to go together.
What a blessing it is to share with these ladies our new recipes.

HOSPITALITY WITH A SERVANT'S HEART

Most importantly, love each other deeply, because love will cause many sins to be forgiven.  Open your homes to each other, without complaining. Each of you has received a gift to use to serve others.  Be good servants of God’s various gifts of grace.   I Peter 4: 8-10

As we learn how to develop a servant's heart for those God places in our path we become more aware of the people around us that are in need of
God's gracious hospitality.

This week we explored how we could use beans and grains to stretch our food budget to serve others. Here are our culinary creations.

Black Bean Wraps

Hummas

Cowboy Beans

Hoppin' John

White Bean Chipotle Humas

Cajun Quinoa

Sharing our recipes and tasting time.

***GRACIOUS HOSPITALITY*** FALL 2015

LOVE
9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.  Romans 12:9-13 (NIV)

We begin our study of gracious hospitality with the exploration of fresh herbs and spices that flavor our foods.  A simple dish can be changed completely just by changing the herbs we choose.

RED CURRY KURI SQUASH

ZUCCHINI AND THYME

CREAM CHEESE AND DILL CORN

YELLOW SQUASH with GARLIC CHIVES

YELLOW SQUASH with ROSEMARY

BUTTERNUT SQUASH with SAGE AND CRANBERRIES

Sharing our recipes, instructions and experiences with each other
